Red dot award: Product design 2004

In March 2004 NITO A/S have won an award for outstanding design in red dot award: product design competition. With this award, NITO rank among the best in international product design.

To the red dot award there was a large number of entries, there was counted 1,673 entries from 32 countries.

The jury arwarded the red dot for high design quality to:

"NiTO Ergo Water gun"

The red dot award is an acknowledgement of the special creativity and quality of our work.

NITO will be presented with all the other winners in the bilingual yearbook "Design Innovations 2004".

InterClean Innovation Award for NiTO II industrial Water Gun

The NiTO II heavy-duty gun was first launched at the International Cleaning exhibition InterClean in Amsterdam 1996, and was awarded “International InterClean Innovation Award” in tough competition with other innovations at the exhibition.

NiTO II was described as very innovative in all areas and meeting the requirements of tomorrow for operation, design and ergonomic working conditions. The gun has been developed in co-operation with a number of users in different industries.

One of the main features is that NiTO II adapted to the anatomy of the human arm and hand. The 70° angle gives a natural position for the hand and secures the best possible grip.

The "SkanRen '99" Award

The "SkanRen '99" Award
In 1999 NiTO MiniMix dosing system was awarded the SkanRen ’99 prize - again for innovation and unique design.

Since then the MiniMix has been improved further as part of our continuous product development described in our Mission.

The MiniMix was developed together with a number of customers and users and the SkanRen award is the proof that there will always be a demand for products of high quality and unique design.

For the same reasons all development, manufacturing and distribution of NiTO products take place at the factory in Haderslev.

NITO have also received recognition for their unique product designs from other areas outside of the cleaning industry.

“Denmark to Hamburg” is a cultural joint venture between “The Danish Institute of Culture” and “Kulturbehorde Hamburg” during 2000. One of the events is the exhibition “Danish Shape” which represents the best within Danish crafts and industrial design. The theme is based on the challenging fusion between to very different worlds – the high technology industrial product coupled with the unique form function craftsmanship.

On show is potter Bente Hansen’s unika tea pot handle and NITO’s NiTO II heavy-duty gun. Both designs united under the title : “The Good Grip”.
Other companies who have contributed to the exhibition are Lego, Danfoss, Bang & Olufsen and Oticon.
